    Order to dispatch time

I'd ordered US Navy Edzell and McPhail (Modern) 8 yards (13 and 15 oz. for those interested) a short time ago. Now they've arrived, the fit is great (though odd in feel, as my other kilts are an inch or so too long and I've gotten used to wearing the waist a bit high), the wool's got a lovely feel, and I'm overall just wildly impressed. Sadly, they arrived only three weeks ahead of their projected dispatch date. Absolutely killed all the pleasure of the jones and now I can only enjoy wearing these excellent pieces.

Wonderful work, surprisingly fast, and very good on keeping me informed on the whole process. I'm tempted never to shop elsewhere.

I too, have had great experiences with Scotweb (FedEx, not so much however.) Their kilts are excellent, and their staff is first rate! I'd love to order a couple more kilts from them in the future (a Welsh Ellis, and an Aberdeen). Just have to save my pennies.

    That's great, enjoy!

Always nice to be pleasantly surprised when something like that happens. Fedex = fail on the other hand. I got a first delivery notice from them yesterday. They dropped by around 8:16 am for a residential delivery, I left the driver a note. Hopefully I won't have to call their awesome automated system again today ; )

Having read a lot of comments about FedEx here, I wasn't looking forward to dealing with them. Scotweb had used DHL or Royal Mail for earlier orders I'd placed. But I was again pleasantly surprised. Didn't encounter any problems with the shipping at all.

And pics are coming! I've still got to drag a friend over or get film developed. I still haven't bought into this whole "digital photography" lark. It'll all end in tears, mark my words.

I'm glad to see such good things about Scotweb - since I've been jonesing for my kilt ever since I ordered it back on May 10th....it's due for dispatch on 24th June, and I really can't wait!! Well, I can, but I'm over the jonesing. I'd love to have the same results that you did, fccpax!

Scotweb is great, I'm waiting for some tartan from them. I know Nick Fiddes has been made aware of some of the issues with Fedex, but depending on weight and where the package is going, there are not always options.

Scotweb did well once again, wear the USN Edsel and McPhail with pride.

My experience with FedEx is (hopefully get the door tag) call them, package isn't left at the customer pickup location, leave a signed note IN EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE AS THE DOOR TAG, have nothing by the signed note when I come home from work, call, they say they attempted delivery a second time, direct them to leave the package at the customer pickup counter, and drive clear across town to get my item the next day. Always a hastle.

I guess I am lucky, I just check the tracking and when shipped I change the delivery to a local FedX Kinkos, they are open late. I think the frown on changing in the parking lot though "S"

I have made 3 separate purchases from Scotweb, a kilt and 2 jackets. Although they urged priority shipping, I chose regular mail. Each order arrived within a few days, about the same delivery time as one would expect from within the US. There were no customs problems and no additional charges. A very good experience.
