Here's an article about the Hollywood "red carpet" event... well, the carpet was green

The LA Scots Pipe Band played. Seems that a number of Pixar people were wearing kilts made up in the tartan devised for the movie.

Now here's an interesting article about the Scottish accents to be heard in the movie, as the article says, the first Pixar movie to not have the main characters with American accents.

When I first heard about Brave I was worried, because typically Hollywood uses non-Scottish actors who put on not-too-convincing fake Scottish accents (Shrek, Scotty from Star Trek, etc etc). But for Brave they decided to use actual Scottish actors for the voices. The article mentions the ongoing concerns about American audiences understanding the Scots:

Here's a cool article of interviews with three of the main Scottish voice actors... it's funny where MacDonald says she was told her accent sounds fake!
