Well I guess this pretty much solves all the question in other threads about the Ike Jackets and Kilts. they do not look bad. Aside from kilts, does anyone know why the Border Patrol and ICE wear them open like that, even when wearing them as a dress uniform? Is there some traditional reason?

It has always been that way with the Office of Field Operations (OFO), the guys in blue; and the USBP, the guys in green. Buttoning up the Ike makes a fat man look fatter. There is, as discussed, another ceremonial uniform only for the Honor Guard members, that is a long coat that buttons. The Ike is for the rest of the "everybody", or non- HG events.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has a different uniform. Office of Air and Marine (OAM) has a different uniform. They have both fairly recently approved an official tartan for their P & D to wear. I can't think of ever playing with another ICE member, but we play regularly with both OFO and OAM.

Could be he's got it attached to the kilt strap on his left side....
I notice he's also missing his spats, and the other two don't appear to be wearing dirks.
The guy in the middle appears to have different-sized tassles, he's wearing a cross-belt, and his Glengarry isn't diced. Given the hash marks on his left sleeve, maybe he's the Drum Major (and set his mace aside while walking about)?

Never thought they were pipers...haven't heard of a pipe band for the Arizona Dept of Corrections. Impression I had was that they were just kilted up for the games. Hash marks represent years of service. Not sure how many years for each hash mark.
