The sporrans we sell aren't "light". The leather is a thicker plyable leather and it does have a "good weight" to it. We checked out other sporrans that were lighter, but the quality was just not there (in the same price range as ours). 1 thing you can do to help alleviate the weight is (if you have 1 of our kilts) run the chain through all 3 belt loops, with the sporran hanging properly in front. This keeps the sporran centered and seems to take a little bit of the weight off your back. You may also want to stop carrying bricks in it.

The rob roys that we sell are about the same weight as the Celtic Knots... a LITTLE lighter, but not much. Wearing a sporran takes a little getting used to if you haven't worn them much... it's a new feeling having something with a good amount of weight dangling in front of your crotch... ahahahahaha
