Alone, alas...
Are there no other members of the rabble in the Bryan/College Station, TX area? Am I doomed to a life of 2+ hour travel for a kilted gathering?? Anyone, anyone...?
Alone, alas...(okay, so that's a bit dramatic)

I feel sorry for your isolation. However, I live very close to a large urban area and gatherings are still few and far between even here. I'm guessing that folks have very busy lives and schedules.

There is a professor from A&M on the forum. And I'd tell you to go find my sister, but she hates my guts. And she is Irish.

Living in Texas, you should be quite accustomed to driving for hours to get anywhere besides where you are. Rhode Island, not so much.

You could be in New Mexico -- I think we have a total of five active XMarks members... I'm the lucky one, so to speak, in that I live only 45 minutes or so away from the nearest (of course, he could be the lucky one in that he lives... ).

I don't think I've seen them on the forum much lately, but we have, or had, a couple-three members from the Bryan area. I caught a Blaggards show at O'Bannons Taphouse in College Station a while ago and the were a few other guys in kilts there.

Jeff;
If you want to organize a kilt night, I will drive down to Bryan. It is only fair since you've been up to Waco a couple of times.

I for the longest time was alone, or so I thought, then Kilties came out of the pleats. Be patient. You are a trend setter.
