story time!
howdy everyone. i heard you all like stories, and since i'm new to the forums i thought i'd share one. this is the story of my all-time favorite kilt comment. i was walking down the hall in my high school when i was stopped by the stare of one of the gangsta thug folk (You know, the carbon copies of every MTV rap star. God bless 'em, we've got plenty!). He looked me up and down, makes eye contact and says, in all seriousness, "Man, are you stupid? Did you know you're wearing a skirt?". I politely replied, "Well sir, it's a kilt. If that's what youre referring to then yes, I do," and continued on my way. looking back, i really wish i had looked down, horrified and said "holy sh*t!", then ran away. ahh well, you always come up with the best responses after the fact!

I think everyone comes up with great responses when they have a little more time to think about things.
Other responses that would have been good in your situation:
a)Do you know that your underwear is showing?
b)Do you know that your hat is on backwards?
c)Do you know that your pants are several sizes too big?
I think your response was the best one, though.
I prefer to give people an education.

I have found that better come backs to comments start coming smoother the more chances you get to use them. Also talking with others here about what was said and what could have been said really increases your brains power to react quickly and smoothly when pressed for a come back.
Well done by the way seamus on the wearing of a Kilt at your school!

If that guy is as heavy as he sounds, I'm not sure I would have given any response except "see-ya"

Next time, you tell them it is prototype kilt for Sean John and that P.Diddy wants his crews/homeboys to start wearing kilts by the fall.
