    FWIW, I wear 38 trousers and a 44 kilt myself. I am a 48 chest, though. A size 48 kilt would fall around my ankles, LOL! Hope what you bought fits him.

    That sounds very similar sizes so hopefully the 44/46" kilt will work out fine...........if not then will just have to resell on ebay
