Well yes I did and I did wonder if it would raise a comment here.

I can only surmise of course and I doubt that I am wrong, this is the case here. We need to remember the one kilt(and attire) special occasion train of thought that the Scots have, so unlike a very few, there is no wardrobe of assorted kilt attire choices . So if we think about it, most special occasions are black tie events taking place in the evening, so it follows that a PC is the obvious choice for those events, for some. So when a special day time event takes place what do they choose? Just a shirt and tie? No. A pullover? No. So the obvious choice(actually there is no choice) is the PC. Not absolutely "right" and they probably know that, but its the best they have to do justice to the occasion--------just like the old soldiers that most of them were at the occasion in question were trained to do. As I say, quite often, drawing conclusions from pictures can lead one down the wrong track.
