Yes, I have been told "NO" about the bagpipes too. But my son has expressed an interest in learning to play them...we shall see where that goes

You, obviously, are not the only one who knows more about pleats than your wife does.

Pipes? My wife wants me to learn to play bagpipe...

Nothing is worse for a "significant other" than to be around two kilt makers....
Type of pleat, sett size, tartan, mill, what we can do, what we need to do, what we will do......it is worse than a High school reunion date.

And yet... here I am... a kiltmaker... with a husband and 2 grown sons... and not only are they not interested in having a kilt.... They refuse to have anything to do with it. But there's hope. My wee little 3 year old grandson asks me "Bon-Bon, when are you going to make a kilt for me?"

To be fair, Bonnie, this is technically your fault! :-) I was just asking my wife about box pleats (since her closet if FULL of skirts, I just assumed at least one would be box pleated--I was wrong) following our conversation the other day. She had no idea...

I didn't really know what to expect, but I found it interesting that I would know more about pleats (and I don't dwell on these types of issues normally, but impossible to visit here and not pick up on details) than she did.

I know more about pleats than the four women I live with! Lol of the four my mother-in law is a sewer of Renasance clothing for fun, and I get the glazed eye look when I mention anything beyond box pleat or knife pleat, I say fell drop or sett/strip they stop listening lol it amuses me!
