glen, that's amazing news, it shows how connected kilt wearers are! And also how amazing the world of communication is now.

Thanks for that Glen. Glad to hear we are making an impression on our neighbors. Did this guy say he had attended one of our kiltsnights?
Hamish,
you would be suprised how often I run into other kilted gents. I had a long conversation with a gentleman in safeway the other day, as he was wearing a saffron irish kilt. We have also seen quite a few people wondering the downtown core in kilts. Perhaps you will see this for yourself next summer?

There is no better city to be kilted than Vancouver. Seattle may be the same, and some cities around Europe and England but Vancouver is unsurpassed.
Kilts are not merely accepted. They are applauded. (And not just when Andrew spins for the ladies at Kilts Night!)

Colin,
Ian the visitor said that he was at the bar when you all started to show up. At first he thought you were a pipe band but quickly ruled that out (did not say how). Then heard from someone else that you do visit the bar often. Then thought it was a regional thing, but did remember some of the names when I started to mention them. He was really impressed with you guys, so if you must let it go to your heads, remember he will be kilted in Denver.

Kilted in Denver, or kilted in Vancouver? Doesn't matter to me, as long as he is kilted

I just love the fact that small world thing happens so much. Good for you Glen having fun with it!! I bet Ian was floored that you were able to name some of us Vancouver Lads, I love it!! We do tend to have a great time out in Vancouver, glad that someone left the place remembering us. Good stuff!!

Colin thanks for mentioning my post number 500, it just slid by me.
Andrew, Ian had mentioned this "real tall dude" that was there, so yes he noticed, and I did have fun with him as far as kilt talk, I even mentioned where everyone else who posts is from. I really think that once he gets settled he may be a full fledged kilt wearer and poster.
