There are RRS kilts on Ebay right now in some quite large sizes, such as 42" waist and 46" waist. I'm very tempted to get one of those!

    Hello Richard.,
..This one for example,,I have one of the sample kilts from Argyll ,made for the RRS and it's perfect but a 36"...the pic I send you looks like the same kilt model, very recommendable.

They won't ship to the USA. Just a heads up to anyone out there considering buying one of these.

recorded prior to 1788 it is what I think is Black Watch phila beg work detail kilt ..I heard go rounds about Grenadiers having a red striped phlabeg ..there is mention of the Col Murray giving his plaid as a tartan pattern I guess Lord George's son ..great part it is like the Morrison green I was raised with ..there are sketches of a red striped taratn ..it was alwasy argues discussed amongst the French Indian War reenactor grops folks in USA .

I find it very strange that since the Amalgamation of the Scottish Regiments there are more RRS kilts on the market than ever before. I cannot believe that there are so many soldiers leaving the Forces that produce the surplus kilts available. I believe that the traders are selling copies for real.
