I have just seen your PM Steve and I suppose this and the above is the answer. So here we go with my picture posting process, which is what I have always used successfully up to now. In passing the same happens if I am trying to post in a thread or start a new one. So:-

    Write an introduction.
    Go to Photbucket.
    Find picture.
    Click on img press CtrlC.
    Go back to xmarks.
Introduction had gone.-----------------Sometimes the introduction is there and I can click CtrlV and the picture code appears. So I repeat the process above and when I return with the next picture everything else has gone.

    Hope this helps.

    OK Jock try this......

Open a tab in your browser and have X Marks open. Begin your post or thread.
Open a second tab and go to Photobucket.
In Photobucket, find the pic you wish to enter in your post.
Under your pic there should be four boxes. Find the one that is labeled "IMG Code".
Left click in this box. You should see this code be automatically saved to your desktop.
Now go back to your first tab with X Marks still open at your post.
Right click and paste the imgage code into your post where you want it to appear.

This should work. If it does not post back to this thread as soon as you can.

AH! I feared this might happen. So what is a "tab"? What is a "desktop"? What is this "paste" thing? Sorry, but I really am a technodunce and computerspeak might as well be another language.

OK first, can you tell me what program you use to access the internet. The most common ones ones like Internet Explorer and FireFox. You can usually tell by looking at the very top of your page and read what program you are using.

Fine, In Internet Explorer (IE) you can have multiple widows or tabs open each with its own site.
You should see a small tab that looks like a file folder tap near the top of your page with the title of X Marks in it.
right next to this tab there should be another smaller tab. If you put your mouse over this smaller tab it should say "New Tab". If you click on this a new tab should open.
In this new tab your can open Photobucket.

You now have X Marks and Photobucket both open at the same time and can switch between the two at will.

Is this plain and easy enough to understand or should I explain in more detail?

File folder Tab? What is a tab? Mouse? My machine has no mouse. Sorry Steve but words of one---or less!---- syllable would be really handy.

do you have or have ever seen a file cabinet with folders in it?
Each folder has a small tab on it where you put the name of what is in the file. these are called file folder tabs. The same shape is used in computers and you should see that shape near the top of your open window where you see X Marks.

    do you see these tabs?

A mouse is the small thing with a wire coming out of it that you control your computer with. Perhaps you have a computer over 30 years old but most made in the last 30 years are controlled with a mouse.

does your computer have one of these contol things or do you do everything with your keyboard?
