As far as accomodations go, if I book a big room at a hotel for a gala or kilt auction or both, I can inquire about a group deal on some rooms. Or even a group deal at another, smaller and less expensive hotel/motel. You guys would have to let me know on what scale you'd like to proceed.
I'm also planning a barbeque/get-together for the XMarks/Bravehearts/Toms Café gang. Strictly kilts, of course.
And there will be a few Kilts Nights.
Prize draws, door prizes, the works.

Bear, you really have this planned out don't you. Maybe we should start a new thread for this topic under Gatherings. We may get a few good pics for some of those galleries Hank, and I suspect BC will be covered in Xmarks stickers.

Not the details, but I know how I want things to go.

I'll go start a thread in Gatherings.

If we get enough guys, I'll do things on a big scale and make the whole city stand up and take notice.
Kilt fashion shows, gala receptions, etc.
That sounds great, Bear. I'll need plenty of notice to get flights, accommodation, etc. sorted out and booked. I'll also need to try to get my visits to Florida and California dovetailed in - if they still want me to visit, that is!
    Ham,
I'm planning ahead for summer 2005. Is your Florida/California visit in 2004 or 2005?
Your post sounded like you thought it was going to be this summer. I don't think I could get a project of that size done the way I want to do it in that time frame.
Oh, no, Bear. 2005 not 2004. I cannot possibly afford such a trip this year. Besides, I like to plan everything months ahead, down to the last detail, and get everything booked.

    Okay Ham,
I was under the impression you were doing that trip this year.
Let me know when you get the details all worked out. I want to make sure you're here for the festivities. I'll not set a date until I know your schedule.
After all, this idea grew from your trip to Vancouver!

But honestly, Ham. Can't afford it? I heard you needed all those Utilikilts pockets to keep the small denomination bills. Okay, I just assumed the small denomination bills thing because Rhino said that you keep the big ones in your sporran.
I think that's what he said.

No, no Bear. Nothing at all is planned in connection with the Florida and California proposals - it was just that I'd been asked to go ..... no dates, no events, no functions, no nuttin! So I should much prefer that you get things under way first. Then I can work around you - why, I might not even do the USA part of the "Tour", although I'd quite like to pop back to Seattle to visit my pals at Utilikilts if there is an opportunity.

Oh, you know Rhino! However, he is not far out with the "Sporran" comment!!

between a 2-4 hour drive. Depends on the time of day and the weather (and border guards). In August, it would take no time at all.
