    Whether using Western style toilets or Japanese style toilets my method is the same. I just grab all the material and bring it to the front, then hold it there while I do my business.

    I agree with what has already been said - It depends! (sometimes it's nice to just ride the fence!) With the "homefield" advantage, I generaly take it all off, kilt, belt and sporran. I don't want to leave nothing to chance! I never use the public toilet if at all possible, then it's the lift and tuck manuver.
