Kind of like a win for England against Portugal will be on Thursday

Oh dear, Colin, you and I need a serious talk. How can you possibly compare Amazing grace on the pipes with a game children play, kicking a leather bag of wind around a muddy field?
As you see, I am not a fan of sport, not any sport, it's all a waste of time to me I'm afraid.

The only sport I care much about is elbowing the bar and getting a pint.

I just didn't want to highjack Phil's innocent post about football , by adding hundreds of posts about how we all turn into weepy little girls when we hear the pipes being played. A true thing of beauty, I know.
I just wanted Phil (and England) to have their own little moment.

Amazing Grace and fitba'
You know, I'll probably get stoned for saying this, but I really don't care much for Amazing Grace on the pipes...wait for it...no reenactments of St. Stephen here, please <grin>!
Number one, it's really not a "traditional" pipe tune per se -- the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards released the album with Amazing Grace on it back in the 1960's. Number two, I like Flowers of the Forest or Sleep, Dearie Sleep better as a lament.
But, it's a way of life now, so I've learned to accept it!
And as for fitba', GO ENGLAND! (If they lose, GO BRAZIL!)
Cheers,
Todd
