Bold mine. Just a reminder. I am a Registered Nurse, I live in Alaska. My co-workers, Alaska RNs. One of the patient gorups we treat day in and day out while they are healing are people with frostbite injuries.

We are supposed to be sort of ya know - experts on this. So one of my RN co-workers went salmon fishing this weekend, dip netting. You wade out into a river of melting glacier ice water with a heavy duty butterfly net... you get the idea. She got cold. And then she stopped feeling cold - and she kept on fishing.

Ooops. When you were feeling cold and stop feeling cold you are in iminent danger. Thankfully her husband (a fireman) recognized the symptoms and got her out of the water in time.
