Greetings from Maine!
Good evening, board! I was told about this board from a vendor at the Great Northeastern War in Hebron Maine a few weekends ago, and I had to come check it out! I've been doing the SCA for almost ten years now, and while I've always been interested in kilts, I have yet to do the research I'd need to do to find the "female" version of a kilt - if such thing even exists! I love wearing plaid fabric, but have never worn a kilt....
My grandmother has traced herself back to the McQuarrie clan, and while I mean to do research on our clan and the tartan, I will confess I couldn't pick it out of a line up yet...
I am also here on a scouting mission of sorts . My "Madam", Tiernan, LOVES everything to do with plaid, and once I told her about this site, her exact words were, "Minion, you must search this out!"
So I am really excited to be here, to learn as much as I can, though don't be surprised if I don't add much to the conversations....
Have Fun!

Welcome from New Hampshire, and don't worry about having nothing to add to the conversation.
It hasn't stopped any of us yet.
