This is why I like the man. He goes to Scotland, he wears the kilt - no ifs, no buts, no maybes - he wears the kilt. Even when no one else is.

Good point Chas. However, I would venture to say that for most of us, most of the time, no one else is wearing a kilt in any given social or business setting we find ourselves in. I have read here that there are members who only wear their kilts to Scottish themed events and really look forward to those infrequent events because they get to wear their kilt.
No way of knowing short of asking him, but I wonder if he looks forward to going to Scotland so that he has an excuse to wear the kilt?
