    Great point, Mike. I sometimes wear a tartan waistcoat in a different colour scheme than my kilt, but the sett is the same. There is nothing wrong with this approach for Highland evening attire at all, and I have seen others (Macphersons) do the same in the Highlands. It's something a wee bit different and makes for an interesting and rather smart look.

    I'm pretty sure it means Traditional Highland Cross Dressing, ie when highlanders wear trews instead of their kilts.
    I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
