I have to say, I LOVE that you also like haggis with eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast.
I do too. The coolest thing though of course, is that you cooked 'em up whilst camping.
Too cool.

does any one know the weight of the wool that is used?10 maybe 13?

Just shoot an email to Stillwater, they will be happy to let you know. They told me it was the same wool used in the heavy weight kilts but that is all I know.

I've had a 'heavyweight' wool for some years. IIRC the weight is about 11 oz. This is the first I've heard of an Economy wool - I'm impressed.

That's a very nice looking kilt. It's easy to see why you are so enthusiastic about it.

Thanks for posting the great pics. We've all seen the Hamish pose, but are you pioneering the Ham It pose, in which the wearer exhibits the inside of the kilt apron?

anyone else who has this kilt, i have question, i got mine in size 34 and it has a 25 inch drop instead of the normal 24. i know 1 inch isn't a big deal, but for my height it kinda is.
the 24 tend to hang a little to long and with the 25 i have it sitting about an inch or 2 above my belly button still below the ribs and kilt hangs to mid knee.
when i sit in the kilt goes right up to my ribs.
my question is, is this more the traditional way to wear them?
never thought 1 inch would make that big a deal , but it funny how things work,

Loeghan, I wear mine 1-2" above my belly button. Yes this is an economy kilt but it is made in the traditional style with an 8" fell line. For a custom kilt I would normally have mine at 23-23 1/2" because I like the top of knee length. I have an Alt.Kilt and it is 21" and worn at the jeans waist. Enjoy your kilt however you decide to wear it. Hemming is very easy if you want to change the length and you can find other threads on that in search.
