Saw it kilted opening nite with some of the folks from Arkansas Scottish Cultural Society. I thought we would be the only ones kilted but there were a handful of other gentlemen kited, and several ladies were there in full period gowns! I also took my 3 1/2 year old granddaughter 2 weeks ago. I was wearing the kilt and she was wearing her Pinces Merida gown. Needless to say she stole the show!

Lucky sod! My daughter wouldn't come within ten feet of me wearing the kilt while we were anywhere outside the car. So I figured it was no use getting a picture... Dang! but that would'a been cool.

I'm with you. My oldest daughters live in Houston, Tx, but saw me in my home made camo kilt on facebook and have given me a very hard time.

A great idea. I had wanted to do the same. I don't know if I will be able to or not.

Im just glad they finally have a Scottish movie that I can show my children. I was the unlucky 5 year old who got plopped in front of Braveheart. My dad was all like "Stop crying and watch it. It's your ancestors." Now my kids can be spared the trauma.

ps- Im DEFINITELY going to that one in tartan. I just wish I had a kilted guy to go with me. Otherwise people will probably just be like "awww...what a cute plaid skirt" -_-.....grrrrrrr

Still over a month before it's in theaters there? What are they showing right now, "Titanic"? (and no, not the new 3D version)

I live in a smaller town in the Netherlands and only the really big blockbusters play here (had to go to Brave unkilted since it hadn't arrived yet and it only played four times in all, it was four sunday afternoons at 2 on the smallest screen - still cost me 10 pound though) but even we already got it.

I really wish I lived in a large town like Antwerp(en), they have a 24-7 theatre there with over 10 screens. For 22 euros a month you can go there as much as you want...

We're planning ti see it, and may well be kilted, but our local cinema is currently only showing in 3D which gives the wife migraines and nausea, so will have to wait until they show it in 2D.

Brave has opened in Scotland now. Went to it last night, not a kilt in sight, but there again that American tradition that we seem to see of people dressing up as characters to go and see a film, etc, doesn't occur over here.

Mind you, when I went to see Trainspotting..............nah, never mind, on second thoughts I don't think they were dressing up, not the way they were trying to flog those second hand car stereos to the folk in the queue.
