I forgot, the Galicia shop in Spain will ship you a kilt by Spanish Royal Mail. They offer the Galicia kilt for 37.85 Euros. Here is a link for a kilt from Spain:

If you ever get a custom made, hand sewn, or bespoke kilt the Galicia National tartan may be the perfect choice.

I have to seriously take issue with the "history" presented on this web site -- that the tartan kilt was first worn by the Galicians in the 3rd century BC, and then brought into Ireland and only finally into Scotland. Their evidence for the kilt being worn in Galicia over 2000 years ago is not convincing at all, and there is absolutely nothing whatsoever to connect the dots to the Scottish kilt, whose origin and development (as I have said before) is fairly well documented in the historical record.
If you want to have a new tartan made for one of the other "Celtic Nations" that's great. I hope people wear it and enjoy it. But please let's not confuse historical facts looking for some justification for the tartan, when really no justification is needed.

That, I think, is the most significant point here.

There are probably a far higher number of Scots who feel that both views are bollocks. As well as a lot who have no opinion on the matter and simply don't care.
Thank you Dale, I think you put that rather well.

A special tartan could be created for those who express such narrow and restrictive views on kilt wearing, especially when they do so in bifurcated garments.
How about Dog in a Manger Tartan?

Come come Trefor, you should know by now, that they would never wear it. They only wear one tartan-----their own.

Sounds dangerous - might bite the wearer in the bum, or worse!
