Everything aside, it's become apparent that UtiliKilt is getting big. They should take the site as a compliment, really. No one attacks the "nobody".

As the phrase goes: "It's the pioneers that take the arrows".

    Fits rather well here.

ohhh, this turkey. His site is a total ripoff of Maddox's site ( http://maddox.xmission.com/ )

Whereas Maddox is bitter but funny this kid's page is bitter and just plain stupid.

Yeah, the guy definitely has some issues. But Utilikilts view is a little pompous really. Having men wear kilts won't change the world unless the world's greatest problem is that men are so uptight and unhappy because their pants are too tight.

The truth is that Kiltmakers don't sell freedom, they sell kilts. Freedom you have to fight for and it costs a lot more than $115.

Also, Utilikilts is getting big, that's true. They're well over 20,000 kilts from what I've heard which is a huge number. They've really got the brand loyalty and brand name recognition. The rest of us are playing catch-up in a way. However, I don't want King Kilts to get as big as Utilikilts. Because then my wife would be swamped with orders, we'd have to open a shop somewhere to sell them and hire an employee to help us out, and pretty soon I'd have to quit my day job to manage the finances...uh, remind me why I don't want to get as big as Utilikilts again. ;)

Utilikilts had some help growing. Patrick Norton on The Screen Savers on Tech TV gave them occasional plugs and wore on on the air now and then. Elijah, what you need is a TV personality to wear your kilts on the air and give you a plug. After all, Rocky and Kelly got Madonna.

As I recall, there was a discussion about this site in Tom's Cafe some time ago, wasn't it? I knew it's plagiarism, only You were quicker than me, finding the URL of the "The Best Site in the Universe".

I can deal with criticism and I don't think, the boy is stupid. Unfortunately he is not intelligent and creative enough to invent idea of his own. I disagree with him in many statements one his page and I think he is nonsequential. He writes: "Apart from feeding the hunger, ending apartheid, and extinguishing terrorism, inventing a new kind of pant is probably not the next item on the worlds to-do list." Only his site doesn't make the world a better world, too.

Even inventing and selling more and more types of kilted skirts and selling them for much money anywhere on earth would not stop people buying and laying mines, buying an using arms, driving away and killing people, I'm afraid.

I dunno... Can you be prosecuted for libel if it's true? If they do actually look silly, can't you say that they look silly?

That site is proof that growing old is compulsory, but growing up is optional.

That's the first time I've ever seen the site before. Maybe I shouldnt' tell him that buying my first UK helped me appreciate the kilt itself, its history, etc., and got me into buying tartans. He's definitely over the top with his disdain and if he did come to me and tell me I was wearing a dress, he had best do it when I'm not wearing my New Rock boots... *evil grin*
