    Father Bill , good question ! Perhaps he is having an identity crisis , his character name on the show " Baywatch " was " Mitch Buchannon " .

    Yes, Mitch Bucannon – did the scriptwriter actually know someone with this name, or is it a misreading of Buchanan?
    Either way (and Bucannon could be a genuine variant of the clan name), he ought to try wearing a Buchanan kilt – or should he?
