Oooo fun...so it's a story about a creature who is almost mythological but could be real (in the book world) and is worshipped and is the source of our anxiety?
Sounds deep. The English major in me would love to dissect a story like this

Just read the original books by HP Lovecraft, Meggers. You know you want to.
I don't know if this has been posted already, but you guys who have Cthulhu tartan kilts need one of these for an accessory:
The Kraken Cane

Hey Meggers, you can read the Lovecraft tale that began the whole Cthulhu Cthing online, here:
http://www.dagonbytes.com/thelibrary...lofcthulhu.htm
"It's all the same to me, war or peace,
I'm killed in the war or hung during peace."

For the record, Lovecraft himself, in various interviews through the years, has pronounced it differently, sometimes rather radically differently. The correct answer is that there is no correct pronunciation. I've personally always favored "kthooloo" with the "H" being a silent character from central casting.

I don't know if she's really back, Father Bill. That post from Meggers that you quoted was posted on the 23rd of August last year!

I don't know if any of you frequent Pinterest, but I curate two Lovecraftian boards there -
All Things C'thulhu-riffic
with an emphasis on idols of C'thulhu, including some very interesting non-European and 'Primitive' styles

and Lovecraftian Inspiration
which is a collection of Lovecraftian art that is non-C'thulhu but still Mythos related

It's a wonderful resource.
