    New Kilt first try on.

    Hi all!

Here is the very first photo of me in my new Smith ancient Kilt by Tartanweb, taken on my girlfriends balcony.
Just took it with me on my weekend visit to her because she absolutely wanted to see it. Here without a right shirt and...shoes
We'll go to the Highlandgames in Rüsselsheim on 1. September, hopefully in my completed outfit...

Thanks to you! I wasn't too happy when it arrived because the backside is made a little unusual...but a 5 yarder with a large sett is maybe difficult to do...

    Front

    Back

    Unusual maybe but not bad...

Yes, it is meant to be.
But Smith is very large and I was told that it wasn't possible to repeat it regulary.

I also have a Smith ancient from Tartan Web. It really is a large sett. Mine is and 8-yarder, and I had it pleated to the red stripe to give it a bit of interest. (http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...eb-kilt-55158/)

Interesting pleating solution to a difficult tartan for a five-yarder.

    Enjoy your new kilt!
