I am with X on this one. If the pleats are not to your liking then tear them out. It may seem like a large step backwards but it does allow you to make kilt to your liking. We have all been there.

I've been there before as well. I've never been there with 16 pleats finished.

I got them all ripped out last night. I'm about to start stitching the new and improved pleats.

The template seems to be working so far. 3 pleats finished and they look like Barb T stitched them. Sweet!

I thought the overall effect was so stunning nobody would notice a few curvy pleats in the fell. My wife saw a couple pleats she said would drive her crazy if it was her work. So I guess in the end you did what was needed to please yourself.
