as you can see the new address is Woodview Terrace, where they told me woodland terrace.....
I feel terrible about this whole situation...

Thank you for all those who helped, hopefully they all make it to their destination.

I really feel badly, if you all send me a paypal address, I will re-imburse you for the cost of the postcard and postage.

Since the street number is correct, there's a good chance they'll make it to the destination. The zip originally posted is non-existent, so the USPS should go by the city name. So long as they get to San Ramon, the carriers there would most likely work out the slightly askew street name.

Of course, my perspective on how such things are handled is coming from a small town; here's hoping they make it! I'd give it a week or so, really, since post offices were closed today and will be again Monday and no mail delivery, even, on Monday.

Edit: When do they need the cards by? Would there be enough time, if the early cards don't make it, for us to send a second a week or so from now?

Even in a bigger town the carriers will usually figure things out. My office has thirty routes (roughly 18000 deliveries) and if the clerks or carriers come across something like this, they'll make the effort to get them where they should go.

I'll pick up a couple of post cards and drop them in the mail Tuesday. Add Utah to your list.

Worry not on my behalf, my dear chap. With youngsters these things happen , another card is on the way.

As has been said most postal workers do their best to get the mail to the destination. Will keep an eye out to see if my card comes back.

Have the young ones check the picture on my post card. The card came from the Greenbrier Hotel in West Virgina, (site of the old underground capital), it was mailed in Maryland and I live and put a PA return address,

I'll send another from Georgia tomorrow, just in case they don't get the first one.
