If you want to go to the north of Germany - Hamburg is my hometown - I would recommend to do during summer to get the best weather...spring can be nice but risky to have lots of rain...though this can be charming too :-)
What will you do in Wilhelmshaven then???

I am a bit of a naval war buff and the Wilhelmshaven Marinemuseum would be of interest and while there I would see the Botanical Gardens and Aquarium Deutches.
We would also like to rent a Porsche to visit other parts of the country like Munich, all while kilted of course.
