We were able to go last year with a few friends and a great time was had by all. It is a small area but it is a fairly new games and we hope it will continue to grow. Unfortunatly we will not be able to attend this year due to my wife having to do flowers for a wedding that weekend. Actually between my wife and my daughter's schedules I don't think we will be able to make any of our usual games this year. We have already missed Loch Norman and Grandfather Mt. but we hope to make it to the NC Ren Faire in Huntersville in Oct.
    Have fun in Scotland Co.

It's been a long strange ride so far and I'm not even halfway home yet.

I am planning to make the trek home to the Old North State for this year's SCHG. From the pictures my family shared of last year's event, it appears to be in beautiful location.

Once again I'll be at the Maclaine of Lochbuie tent with the rare brindled haggis of Lochbuie. . . . do stop by. For all of you X-markers out there, we are growing and expanding. This is only our fourth year, but it promises to be better than last year!

Don't think I can make the trek. I'd love to go one year. I'll be going to the Renfest though.

I plan to get there if at all possible, but the list of places on their schedule confuses me. Where and when is the places to be?

The Games are at the John Blue House on Saturday. There are several events at St. Andrews University as well (concert Friday night, ceilidh Saturday night) and there is a whiskey-tasting on Friday at the Hampton Inn. But the main event is the Games at John Blue House.

If SlackerDrummer really comes, there will be a whisky tasting at my house on Friday night!
