I only know about it from reading of it, but I think they bake a pizza, slice it, dip the slices in batter, and deep-fry it. Supposedly it is popular in the larger cities in Scotland.

CDNSushi my in-law do a dish that might suffice for your turduchen center. It's a hard boiled egg, wrapped in bacon, with ground sausage padded onto the outside of it that is then breaded and deep fried.

So, a "Scotch egg" with bacon added. Sounds great to me!!

We have a BBQ shop here in the suburbs of Memphis that serves deep fried ribs. The previous day's leftover ribs are sliced individually and go into the deep frier. While still sizzling hot the ribs are dipped in their sweet sauce where the sugar melts and crystalizes to form a crust over the meat. A little dry rub dusted over them to finish them off and you have deliciously evil perfection served with wet naps.

The spot is 10 Bones BBQ in Southaven Mississippi.

I love Scotch eggs and make them whenever I can (which is to say, as often as my wife will allow me to use the deep-frier). I've never tried them with bacon around the egg. Sounds like a wonderful addition for a complete breakfast! Bacon goes with everything.
