Spider-man!
At 67 minutes and 13 seconds into the first Spider-man movie (just after the Green Goblin shows up at the festival and starts blowing stuff up) there is a kilted man running on the right side of the screen, just as he disapears, another kilted man can be seen running from the right side of the screen to the left. (This is while Peter Parker is tearing open his shirt in homage to the 1978 Superman movie)
Then, when the kid is just standing there waiting for the piece of stage to crush him, there is a kilted man holding a balloon behind him.
Increadibly brief, yes, but it is a BIG Hollywood movie with kilts in it!

Alaskan, did you say that was in the FIRST spider man movie? I missed that.
I was thinking of taking the kids to see the second one tomorrow, i'll watch out for kilts! (I know I'll see one at least)

Re: Spider-man!
Alaskan,
There have been many "SpiderMan" films made over the years. Which one are you referring to here? Could it be the one made in 2002 starring Toby Maguire?
I have that one on DVD, but Goodness knows when I'll be able to find 67'13" to sit waiting for the kilts to appear! Not until the long, winter evenings set in, I suspect!!

Yes, Hamish you are correct, there have been many low budget Spider-man films made over the years.
My opinion of you has been raised because you knew that.
The one I was referring to was the 2002 film starring Toby Maguire, although technically it was not the first Spider-man film. The older films slipped my mind in my surprise at seeing kilts in the film, and my excitement for the sequel.

Wow, how did you do that? Can you pause a DVD if you are watching it on your PC and save the pictures? Or did you find those on the internet? My computer is pretty old... CD ROM, not DVD, so I don't know how the newer computers work.

You've got sharp eyes, Alaskan. That's got to be one of those fleeting "did-I-just-see-what-I-think-I-saw??" moments! It seems to be a popular thing in the motion picture business now to include details and items of interest for the true film buff. Alfred Hitchcock was good at this.

Now for the 'Tech Stuff' as my wife would say. I'm runnning a HP notebook with a CD/DVD-ROM. I am running Linux SuSE9.1 (I didn't write this part) I "modifiied" a program which comes with it (XINE) for viewing various 'movie' files. (Modified because this version won't play DVD's because of propriety stuff). The program (modified) when a DVD is played you can slow it down to just above stop (lots of blurr). I then stopped on the image and there is a built in "snapshot" feature in the program. And DONE!!!!
NOW: I did not write this incase the Microsoft Police read it and contact the DVD Propriety Police!

tartan...
Cameron of Erracht, to be exact...the tartan created for the auld 79th Regiment of Foot by the Cameron Chief's mother, a MacDonald -- it is very similar to the MacDonald tartan.

Thanks, I could not make out all the details and I am not as up-to-date on tartans. My wife has Cameron on her side of the family so I recognized the basic fast. The details I missed. Thank.
