I agree, however im having a heck of a time finding hiking boots i like that are under $100. I got spoiled by my work and get Danners and red wings every 6 months for my job and consequently most everything else i try on just feels odd. i will be a happy man when i can find some affordable hiking boots that are comfy too.

I see a great outfit and no problem with the look. We all start somewhere and I think it is often better to grow a look then buy package "A" from someone selling kilts. You started with a USAKilts a good choice, and package "A" would have been great but would it have been you?
Again looks good keep us in the loop as you develop you kilt wardrobe.

Looking good. I'm fairly new to Kilting myself and have already decided that I will wear my kilt how I feel like it. Meaning that I will sometimes wear it quite traditionally and at other times very untraditionally. I happen to have a kilt with pockets and during the summer I often wore it without a belt or sporran and in casual sandles without hose. I guess the point I'm making is that kilting is what you want to make it and just have fun in what ever direction you take it.
