From the Kiltlady
Greetings!
I came across this website because I have a Google Alert on my name. I'm delighted you have found my page. I worked hard on it!
I have been making kilts for 36 years in the general area of Maryland, DC, and Pennsylvania. Of course, I have been sending them far and wide also, the last one going to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania! That's a first!
I started when I was home with three children; I was a bit too busy with them to advertise. My client base has grown over the years and besides sewing for folks in general, in the last two years I've outfitted two bands. I do get by thru word of mouth.
Not only do I make kilts, but I am well known for repairing them and changing the size. (Unfortunately, I usually make them bigger!).
I also am very pleased that you like my paintings. I have been painting for about 6 years and I have sold a few. I'd like to retire into the art field. (not from kiltmaking, but from my other, full-time job). I welcome feedback for all my work. Let me know what you think.
Debbie

Welcome, Debbie! I've heard all about your kiltmaking and your artwork from your daughter...we go to church together here in Louisville! And, just for the record, you have the CUTEST grand-daughter!
Best regards,
