My First Kilt and First time wearing it

So the other day i received at last my first kilt to make it to my doorstep from USAKilts. Its a casual kilt in Black Watch Tartan and i wanted to share a picture of it with you gents. Keep in mind i have not received my kilt belt, casual sporran, kilt pin (im using a cap badge in the picture) or proper kilt hose so i was really just making due with what was readily available. I would love to hear your thoughts and in fact i got most every idea and tip for kilt attire from you gents already anyway. I will post more pictures including pictures of the pleats when the rest of my gear comes in this week. Eventually i would really like to do a 10 looks post but show some of the twists that my generation have been wearing.

Thanks again to you all for welcoming me so kindly and i hope to share many more pictures with you soon.

I agree, however im having a heck of a time finding hiking boots i like that are under $100. I got spoiled by my work and get Danners and red wings every 6 months for my job and consequently most everything else i try on just feels odd. i will be a happy man when i can find some affordable hiking boots that are comfy too.

I see a great outfit and no problem with the look. We all start somewhere and I think it is often better to grow a look then buy package "A" from someone selling kilts. You started with a USAKilts a good choice, and package "A" would have been great but would it have been you?

Again looks good keep us in the loop as you develop you kilt wardrobe.

Lookin' great. Now, you're over the hump, so go out and have fun wearing it. Best of luck!
