    I did some regression testing:

    OK:
    OSX 10.6 / Safari 5.1.7

    not OK:
    OSX 10.6 / Firefox 13.0.1
    OSX 10.6 / Chrome 21.0
    OSX 10.6 / Chromium 23.0
    OSX 10.6 / Opera 12.02
    Debian 6 / Iceweasel (Firefox) 3.5.16
    Ubuntu 12.04 / Opera 11.52
    iOS 5 (iPad) / Safari
    iOS 5 (iPad) / Mercury 6.0.1
    iOS 5 (iPad) / Atomic Web 6.0.1
    XP / IE8

the test with XP was made with the company laptop via VPN and our company network, all others at home with my ISP through my private LAN

Well, firstly it doesn't work on the other laptop either (with the same OS and the same browser). When going to the Scotweb site I get the home page but I am not yet logged in. I can log in no problem, but there is still no trace of the xmarks discount. Good luck to the IT chaps who are looking into this, it won't be easy to diagnose. At least, if needed, nick has assured us that we can still get the discount.

Well done. This might point Nick's IT people in the right direction.

I don't think the profile is the problem. In my testing (see post 21) I was always logged in to scotweb and at least Safari/OSX works, all others not.

Chapeau bas (hat's off) to the IT techies that solved this one!

It's now working fine. Thanks to all concerned.
