My wife and I had a great time at the Long's Peak/Estes Park Scottish and Irish Festival. Good music and good food. Great venue and chance to meet some really nice people.

Besides the meeting with X Marks colleagues, I had a great opportunity to meet with some of the Clan Hay, American Branch folks at the Hay tent.

Here are some pics from that time.

We gathered here after the parade of Clans on Saturday.
From Left to Right: Rod Village, Clan Hay, American Branch President; Ron Capistrano, Convener for Colrado and Wyoming; Larry Hay, American Branch Treasurer, Rick Hayle, Convener for Texas, Tom Hay Bauer, Convener for Illinois and Wisconsin, and myself. I felt like I was in exhaulted company! Fine gentlemen all.

Here is Rod and myself by pictures of Delgatie Castle, seat of Clan Hay in Scotland. Rod is a Trustee for the castle and will be going over there later to do some work at the site.

Here I am in my X Marks the Scot Kilt from Steve Ashton's shop. It is a fine kilt and fits very well. I wore it Friday and Sunday and wore my Hay Ancient kilt on Saturday. Over my right shoulder is Long's Peak. Now listed as 14, 255 feet above sea level. After my freshman year in college I worked at the YMCA camp near Estes Park and managed to climb the peak on one of my days off. I'm afraid those days are long past.

Hope to see these games again in the future.

Best regards,

Tom
