I also wore sandals with no socks and was made to place them on the scanner and walk barefoot. I did all of the other suggestions because I remembered your post Hamish, so thank you. Walking barefoot through the check point tested my manners, but it was only temporary, although I thought unnecessary.

    Cheers,

    Tobie

Okay Guys and Gals, I finally got some of my pictures up in my personal gallery. Just so you know what the delay has been, all three of our computers died during this project. I don't know what that says about pictures of me! We had a nice memorial service for the computers though. We laid them to rest on a raft made of copies of computing for dummies, layed a roadkill of indeterminate species at their feet, played a pipe tune on one of those audio greeting cards, then added hard copies of various "flames" that had been resident in their hard drives. Since there is a burn ban in effect we simply lowered the cover of the dumpster and silently walked away. It was all very moving if I do say so myself.

Anyway, a couple of photos are finally posted and several more are in process.

Just having fun. We took a tour of the Ft. Uncompaghre reconstruction. We were the only visitors there that morning and we were asking intelligent questions so the guide extended the normal 90 min. tour to 2 1/2 hrs and taught us all to do interesting things like throwing the tomahawk.

I was on Jury duty this past week and had the same experience. I wore a black Utilikilt and with all the snaps they have plus a big buckle and my shoes had metal eyelets on the thread holes, you can bet I lit up the metal detector..... the security guy was real nice, he chuckled that there was no way I would pass his machine and waved me through. Then a quick pass with his wand and down the hall I went. Very good experience compared to Jamies.
