I'd suggest keeping it within one country for as long as possible before sending on across the border. Anyhoo, that's just my two pence for what it's worth.
I don't really think that that the international crossings are the point rather the mode of mail. If you post a parcel with the cheapest rate it will take longer. I have had the quaich and the scarf sent to me and subsequently sent them on. On all occasions postage that can be traced has been used. The maximum number of days waiting has been 10 working days. I regularly receive parcels from all over the world and at the present time those from the USA and Great Britain take an average of 6 working days. I don't know how others sent the scarf around but for something as important as this, perhaps we can spend a couple more dollars for recorded post to ensure a little piece of mind.
BTW Derek is there a new list of recipients that you could post up on the forum? At the moment we have 2 in the USA, 1 in Canada, 2 in Germany, 1 in Oz, 4 in Great Britain

When I sent the scarf across the US/Canada border I sent it Priority Mail and it went across in a couple of days - so I would agree that higher level of postage when crossing borders should make it a safer and quicker bet.

The new scarf is on route to ScotFree complete with a little welsh dragon paper thingy if you would like to say something in it.
Please only send the scarf on to a member who has agreed to keep the scarf rolling.
Looking forward to the scarfs on going adventures and pics.

We should have a moment of silence for the old Scarf , It severed us well and could have been in a Museum.
As to think that the little fellow is still out there some where ,
Glad to see the new one on its way - God speed little fellow
