Something weird going on with cookies
In the past few days, this board has not been performing the same for me. When I post a new reply and go back to a forum's main page, the thread doesn't jump to the top or show that I've replied. I have to manually do a refresh. Same thing when I go back to the forum index after marking a forum read. I have to do a manual refresh for it to update.
My browser settings haven't changed, and I do not have this issue on any other website or web forum. Just this one.
Is anyone else having this issue? It's entirely possible that it's just me, but I'd like to find out if anyone else has noticed a similar issue.

I've been having the same issue. I simply wasn't sure if it was a change that was done that I simply didn't know about since I don't get to check here as often as I have in the past.

This issue is still plaguing me. And on top of that, I'm noticing that replies are getting posted which I never see until much later. I'll check a particular forum at, say, 1:00pm and it shows that there are no new posts. I will do a manual refresh to make sure. Then I leave and come back later, only to see several replies to a thread, some of which were from 11:30am. They didn't show up when I checked at 1:00pm, but somehow magically appeared later. And the same goes not only with replies to existing threads, but with new threads as well.
So apparently this problem is not just mine, as others are having it as well. And since I'm not having this issue anywhere else on the web, it's got to be an XMTS problem. Can someone please look into this?

I have been experiencing the "last log in" lag, where it shows that I'm roughly 12-15 hours my actual last log in (currently showing last log in as 21:35 OCT31) . This goofs up "new posts" - (currently at about 112).
But I haven't experienced a problem with the delay in my replies showing up.

BTW: Using Firefox 16.0.2 on OS10.6.8 on a newer Mac.

Hmm, I never pay attention to the "last log in" data. Maybe that's somehow related. I'm off and on the forum all day long, and may have gotten offline between visits, but not necessarily. I don't know what the board considers logging off or logging in. I never log in or out. I just come here or leave, and my cookies/history keep me logged in.
But I haven't experienced a problem with the delay in my replies showing up.
Just to be clear on what I mean, my reply is always there in the thread as soon as I post it. But the thread doesn't jump to the top of the forum's main page and show that I've replied unless I do a refresh. Even when it still shows the thread I just responded to down the list, if I click on it, it will show my reply (even though the main page didn't show that mine was the last reply).
BTW: Using Firefox 16.0.2 on OS10.6.8 on a newer Mac.
I'm on Firefox 16.0.2 as well, on a new HP laptop.

Here's a more specific example than the one I gave above. Right now it's 4:22pm. I have been on and off this board several times this afternoon, but this page tells me that I last visited at 1:00.
However, I last checked the main forum page at 4:09pm, and it showed the last reply in this thread as being MacMillan of Rathdown's reply which occurred at 3:09pm. But now that I come back again, there are two more replies, the last of which is this one, and it was posted at 3:37pm. Yet it was not showing up when I visited at 4:09pm.

I'm not sure if this is related, but now I'm getting weird issues with getting to latest posts. This morning the forum shows that member Angstrom has replied to this thread. But when I click to get to the latest post there, it takes me to member O'Callaghan's reply from yesterday. It tells me there's another page of replies, but when I click to go to the next page, all it does it bump me up to the top of page 1. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get to the latest reply in that thread.

Just to let everyone know that it's NOT an isolated case, I have the same problem with this thread. On the new posts page it showed 3 pages, when I clicked on it to see the latest post I was taken to page 3 of 4. No possible way to go to page 4 and the supposed last post by Angstrom.
