I would go with #2 or #3 CH. I'm not much of a fan of the low sock look unless out hiking, but that's just me. It seems the second photo would be a little more general/universal casual look with the third being more of a sports oriented look. Again nothing more than my single perspective and opinion. I would offer one other consideration, if I may, perhaps a different belt buckle would be something to think about. I can't imagine you wearing a large US flag on your belt when wearing trousers so perhaps something a little less.....substantial while wearing the kilt may be worth considering.

At any rate, have a great time and as they used to say..."Be safe out there"

Ha Ha, yes the buckle is a bit much i must agree. Got it for a steal and couldnt pass it up. I got a more traditional buckle on the way but it wont ship till my kilts made. I do wonder how the third photo would look if i wore the boots and kilt socks. Still, opinion taken, noted, and much appreciated.

Like em all, but agree that that the flag buckle combined with the Scotland shirt might be overkill.

That said, I'd go with #1 or #3.

You dint ask if these outfits make you look fat
I prefer the look of #2 also. Higher hose always look better I believe.
Good on ya for asking for opinions.

Two is good, but sans-buckle. It's just too in your face; do without a belt or find something with a simple brass D (check your local Sally Ann?). I can't pick it up properly, but are you wearing ghillie brogues in #2 and #3? If so, wear the boot you have in #1. You will look like you're straight out of a Scottish urban pub. Have a fine time.

The boota with hose and garters will look fine. I think they are all fine for a casual night at the pub. As to the buckle, perhaps something more subtle, but if y'all come around Oklahoma and Texas you will see a variety of large American flag buckles worn with jeans

My personal favorites are 2 and 3, BUT it is my firm belief that simply wearing a kilt to the pub will be a hit, no matter what the accessories are.

Im thinking perhaps i leave the belt at home until my stag head buckle arrives and don the boots with hose. Im sure ill find an occasion where the big Scottish flag belt will be appropriate lol. Thank you all for the advice and feel free to leave more. I feel more in my own skin than ever while wearing my kilt but im still getting used to all the stares and questions. i figure a nice outing while a large gang of friends will help shake the nervousness. Thank you friends.

Don't need to wear brogues everytime, I thought 2 was relaxed looked to wear.
