During the heat of summer I don't need the fleece vest. These Desoto Tri Jerseys are great for daily wear too. I have some that are heavily used over the years and still look new. New and old in blue, red, yellow and white with blue - I can't tell new from old - they wear well - very comfy. Stays cool in humid or dry - about the only tops where this happens for me. I snap a few up when the season changes on clearance from Desoto.
Next is redye of the red and yellow compression socks, using the Tulip brand dyes in primary colors. Dylon dosen't make the primary colors any more. No picture of the yellow socks - that bad - very light yellow - I need a darker goldish yellow as I have 5 kilts with thin golden yellow stripes.
I think matching minor colors of a kilt looks better than matching a major color and risk burying the rest of the colors and becoming a monotonous uniform look. Especially on this " full color spectrum" kilt.
White and light color hose seem more lively - the reason I am working that range. The trick will be to complement and not overshadow the tartan with the light colors.
Work to do on the socks.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Chase - Will try it , sounds good. Wonder about the eye strain though. The same cells in the retina perceive both red and blue. Thats why it is real rare to see red on blue or blue on red in printing. The letters look jiggly. The eyes and brain go a bit nuts. Maybe the large areas won't create the issue.
Worth a shot:
The red over blue seems to dazzle the eyes here and live.
Blue over Red works for me bro, but then again, I'm just one guy with an IMHO

Your PV kilt is the Macpherson clan tartan in the red 'modern' colours (a rather bright colour scheme in this particular kilt, I might add). With all due respect, I am not so sure members of the Clan Macpherson, to include our chief, Sir William Alan Macpherson of Cluny and Blairgowrie, TD, would particularly care for a trademarked logo to be affixed to the front apron of the kilt in this manner. However, I completely understand and respect the fact that this is your kilt and you can do with it what you so desire, and rightly so!
I do understand your reasoning for ultimately choosing the Macpherson red 'modern,' as it contains some of the basic colours of the NASCAR logo. I would like to make it clear, by no means am I attempting to ridicule or chastise what you have done, and I am NOT being a so-called, "kilt-kop," far from it! All I am saying is that having a logo fashioned onto a kilt as sort of an "advertisement," may be frowned upon by Macphersons who have a natural respect and admiration for their clan's tartans. Naturally, this my own personal opinion, so take it as you will. In any rate, I think your attire is perfectly suited for any type of NASCAR event, to which I've heard, are often rather hot!
Here's a photo of me wearing a kilt in the Macpherson red 'modern' tartan, woven by Lochcarron. Notice the difference in the colours; same basic sett design, but this version is much darker in appearance.
Cheers,

The green stripe is alot brighter on yours. Maybe the flash. Looks good!
I chose that position because it is where kilt makers put their Logo should the customer desire. It is also the kilt pin position and it seems any design is OK in kilt pins.
Neither Logo or pin reflects on the clan, it is a personal statement.
In the case of the kilt maker logo it is advertising.
There are quite a few MacPhersons in motorsports now and in the past.
Got to thinking (and lookin up) - The MacPherson strut suspension used in Porshe 911(sp), BMW, and almost all modern front wheel drive cars was developed by Earle S. MacPherson in the early 20th century. Neat!

Kyle , I took the logo off about 6 months ago. This tartan is too nice to be a closet queen waiting for a NASCAR event. And yes, outside of an event it would feel like advertising to me, also.
