Sorry I cannot attend as I will be riding a two day 200 mile charity bicycle event for the Challenged Athletes Foundation in memory of a recently passed friend.

    Y'all have fun.

I think you'll do just fine. You'll probably want a (short-waisted) jacket of some sort, or a sweater/sweatshirt, as the forecasted high for this weekend (as of this writing) is 68 F. While you're there, you may want to invest in some kilt hose. Any color but white.

Eminence, KY; Lincoln, NH; & Ligonier, PA - 3 events in the same weekend, Sept 22nd

September 22 will be busy weekend for events. There are at least three that I know of:
    1. Ligonier, PA - http://www.ligonierhighlandgames.org/, an easy choice for me as Clan Young is conducting it’s 2012 AGM at these games.
    2. Loon Mountain, Lincoln, NH - http://www.nhscot.org/
    3. Eminence, KY - http://www.kyhighlandgames.com/

It’s nice to enjoy these events in the cooler weather…

Celtic festival was a blast! Got the chance to be kilted all day, now don't want to take it off. Here are some pics of the event including pipe band competition, caber tossing, and me in archery contest.

Got second and met some cool people.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. Glad you enjoyed the day and had some fun. I was running around trying to help get things set up for the solo competition in the morning, then get tuned up & play for the band competition in the afternoon, then get things taken back down & packed up - all on about 2 hours sleep!

From your photo of the Dundee Scottish Pipe Band, I was about 20 feet to your left.

I was there for several hours yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I must say there were some colourful "costumes" out there. The weather was ideal. I wore a cashmere v-neck sweater, tattersal shirt, kilt, for those who are interested. Sorry I missed you Phillips and John!

    PS. That's a wee caber!

Hey Phillips, good luck on the posting. I am still trying to figure it out. It was great going kilted for the first time wasn't it?

Yes, it was great being kilted! Can't wait to get more now. Yeah the costumes were crazy, did not expect that at all. I've heard the ren faire is where you get a lot more people and a lot more costumes. Do you play the pipes or drums EagleJCS? I can afford lessons on pipes in my town, the problem is in getting the pipes. Someday I want to learn to play. Be a great thing to have to annoy the neighbors...and family.
