    Longest Work Day Ever...

...in more than one way . I was offered an option of working overtime for today, and with the highland games coming up this weekend, I figured the extra money might be a good idea. This makes for a 16 hour work day. Well, about halfway through my shift, I received a call from home to tell me a package arrived with my name on it.

    !!!

There's only one thing it could be.....my new Semi-Trad kilt in the Pennsylvania tartan. So, here I sit (or trying to anyway), with over 6 hours left....waiting. Knowing I could be proudly wearing my kilt at this very moment.

I do want to mention though that Rocky may very well be kin to Jesus, because the fact that it got to my doorstep as quickly as it did is nothing short of a miracle. Either that, or he borrowed Jerry's time machine.

    Cheers,
    -Jake

I think photos of the package, of the kilt with the basting on, with it off and then on you would be a proper next step. Good luck getting home without bursting.

I'll try my best tulloch; I won't be off work until 11pm, and will have to return at 7am tomorrow morning. So, I don't know how tired I will be at that point, but then again, if I remain as awake as I am right now, I may not be able to sleep

    Cheers,
    -Jake

    Drum roll please..........

    The drooling begins...

    And the moment of truth

And a nice little bit of extras to add to it all!

I don't know how true to color these photos are, btw. I have trouble with reds, greens, and any colors made from red.

I know, the shirt wasn't the best match, but I'm tired and just threw on whatever was conveniently available.

If it looks like I was hugging myself....I probably was because of how happy I am with this kilt.

And this is my favorite shot.

Until I can get some decent rest and better lighting, those will have to do for now. I will, however, take a minute to mention how inexplicably pleased I am with everything that went into this kilt, from purchase to opening the package. I simply cannot speak highly enough of Rocky.

    Enjoy!

    Cheers,
    -Jake

Thanks everyone! This is my first tartan kilt worthy of wearing outside the house and I don't think I could have picked a better tartan and kilt to begin with. I'll be seeing Rocky at the highland games here this weekend, and am looking forward to that as much as the event itself. I live only about two hours from his shop....I really need to make a trip there sometime in the near future. I'm sure I will when I decide to get my first wool kilt.

And Deil the Yin, best of luck with helping your friend join the club. As a relative newbie myself, I can say it's certainly an enjoyable experience every time I strap on a kilt.

    Cheers,
    -Jake

After some hours of loading furniture, driving a big van to the storage depot and unloading it all again, I was feeling rather down - its amazing how restorative lunch and a look at X Marks can be.

What we really need now is video.....

Rocky's delivery times are the stuff of legend - it is rumoured that he posts them the day before the order is made due to a convenient time portal.

And now - back to the furniture...

Boy Jake, that looks great! Speaking of the amazing Rocky, I got an email yesterday that my package was shipped today. It was a bit confusing, so I emailed Rocky and sure enough, well under two weeks from order and it's on it's way today. I hoped to have it for the weekend aft this, and it looks like I might have it this weekend! Terrible thing to be so excited about a kilt at my age...
