I also went to the Plaid Place store (since it was a year ago there whence my kilt-wearing days started) and tried on an Irish National tartan kilt (actually tried on a few of that ... thought I was wider than I turned out to be). I was talking to the girl working there today and it turns out she was an Anderson .... I found out after I had said my mother's side was Anderson. That was pretty neat and we talked a bit.

I can't really buy a new kilt now anyway and I think I' rather get one made with the Maple Leaf tartan, Newfoundland tartan or Anderson ancient or weathered tartan.
