    wow... that looks great - love that patterning in the blade (is that called a Damascus steel patterning?) The rosewood adds a nice buffer visual zone between handle and sheath.

    Yup, it looks like Damascus to me. I love the pairing of Damascus steel with an antler handle. It has an old-world rugged look to it.

    Yes, the blade is Damascus.

    I purchased it from Atlanta Cutlery. Beautiful pattern, but the tempering left a bit to be desired. Then again, a sgian doesn't normally see a lot of use, so an occasional sharpening doesn't bother me.
