And it wasn't! So far the reaction from my colleagues has been mixed. Some have tried to be humorous ("Hey, nice skirt!"), some have been supportive ("I love the outfit, I've got scottish roots too"), one seemed to be venturing into dangerous territory ("I hope you're wearing underwear", to which I responded "Are you seriously asking me what I'm wearing beneath my kilt?" - he backed-peddled quickly), and one was virtually speechless. That was just plain funny. However my supervisor was very supportive and positive. I haven't heard a peep from any of the managers at this point, so if this positive air continues, I might be able to make Friday my regular Kilt day too!

Another Friday out in the kilt. Target this time, no comments, a couple of double-takes. One woman in the halloween candy section was pretty friendly. Then to a halloween store next door to find some things for one of my kids. A woman working there asked me if I had just finished performing and called me out on my outfit not being right. I was wearing a navy field shirt w/epaulets with the sleeves rolled, no tie or jacket. Told her no performing and that this was a casual outing, then she asked about the kilt, how frequently I wear it, etc. She encouraged me to find a kilt-wearing group, likening it to her Italian-American club and I told her I actually did belong to such a group -- Xmarks!

Today's kilted Friday in my new Joss Tartan KA kilt.

I kilted up this afternoon to pick my daughter up from school and take her to swim lessons. Got a few stares when we went out to dinner but I am resolved to be kilted for the entire weekend!

I had my son, Duncan take this pic after work yesterday. My plant is accustomed to my kilt wearing, not too many comments anymore.

Same here KD. If I wasn't Kilted on a Friday my residents would fear a tear in the space time continuum.

I like the contrast of the burgundy hose; sharp!

Dropped off my daughter at her practice this morning and got a "like your kilt" from her coach. Then off to coffee with workmates. Got an "I like the kilt" and some smiles from people in line. One former coworker made mention that I now wear my kilt all the time. I said not quite all the time, but frequently, especially for our Friday coffee.
