Hello everybody,
I am a Cheshire Mason (United Grand Lodge of England) we are in the Middle of our 2016 Festival at the moment. I am thinking of a few fund raising ideas and one that immediately sprung to mind was a Masonic Kilted Walk. Nothing strenuous as I wouldn’t want to exclude our more senior Brethren, but wouldn’t it be great to see as many different tartans as possible on an organised walk somewhere in the Province (hopefully with a nice friendly pub at the end for those in need of wee refreshment)
The ONLY specifications would be:
1. You wear a Kilt (no other dress code applies!)
2. Your moneys raised are donated to The 2016 Masonic Samaritan Fund Cheshire Festival
3. You are a Freemason OR friend/relative of a Freemason.
If you don’t own a kilt, borrow one, hire one, (Slater’s and Moss Bross are pretty good), or better still this may be the perfect opportunity to make one of the best purchases you will ever make and buy one.
Maybe there are even some people out there who own the odd pipe and drum and would like to join us to add some musical encouragement!!!
If you are unable to join the walk but know of somebody with a kilt who may be interested to help in ANY WAY, pass this information on to them.
Come on, don’t be one of those Brothers who reads Freemasonry today and looks at the pictures of other people raising money....you could be one of those fund raisers.
THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL EMAIL I AM JUST JUDGING INTEREST.
If you are interested in ANY WAY please email me your thoughts gareth86@msn.com
Sincere and fraternal best wishes
Gareth
