A New Patten Soft Construction Hunting Sporran

Thank you! I'm hoping to do "Lantern" or "Ball" (I'm not sure that the pattern has an actual name, at least I can't find one) style tassel on another one of these in the not too distant future. From the X-Marks thread HERE.
Pic is just for the tassel pattern, as it's the only one I can find.

On standard 'hard' hunting sporrans the 'arc' of leather is just an applied decoration laid over the targe (also a decoration), the stiff leather underneath provides the actual structure.

On these soft bodies the construction is a bit of a proprietary secret.

Oh! Scott, I was not asking for any protrietary secrets to be divulged. I should bookend that by saying that I don't mean your specific style of sporran.

I am considering making a generic hunting sporran for myself and want it to open with a cantle style...but I want it to be completely leather. I'm open to hard or soft bodies, makes no difference to me. I am at a standstill with where to start though.
