photobucket has changed
I just went to photobucket to download a pic into a new thread I wanted to start. However, photobucket has completely changed the format of their site and you can no longer click on a pic and get the little dropdown window that you need when posting to xmarks. How do we do it now?

It stinks! You have to click on "image links," to get the embedded code in order to post on XMTS.

Thanks guys. A little more complicated than before but at least it still works once you get it figured out. And Kyle you are right it does stink.

Grumble....I HATE change for the sake of change...especially when its more complicated...
Maybe someone can help us old geezers understand the new thing step by step??

Our new version of VB allows you to upload photos directly to XMarks - no external photo hosting needed... The file can't be too big though.
Alternatively, I've always used imageshack.us with great success. They even provide you with a VB link so you can cut/paste directly into XMarks threads.
I've always considered Photobucket an inferior product due to its bandwidth limitations and tendency to "break" so people can't see your photos...

I've heard this before...but when I clicked on the image thing it demanded a website - no personal computer connection...what am I missing? Okay, tried it again. Something new, different...but apparently it works if there's a pic of a hot air balloon inflating....

Don't like it either so I opted to revert to the earlier version (and PM them to say why.

Works. And yes, this is a new feature since we changed over to VB v.4.0. In addition, when you're putting up your post, if you are in WYSIWYG mode (top left button on the options bar) you can double-click on the picture to control whether you want it to appear in your post as small, medium, or large, and whether it should be centered, left, or right justified, along with a few other little options.

I just checked my Photobucket page, and it still looks the same. I still get the drop-down links, and didn't have to do anything to make it that way. Weird!
